The story of the ten year partnership between the author and Heinz Sellner to construct the Aquarius II from scrap metal and other obsolete equipment. It describes how they developed models, some remotely controlled, in order to produce a prototype recovery vessel, Aquarius III, which they hoped would be capable of diving to reach submarines lying damaged in the deepest waters.
